The Process

On a single day of your vacation, Evan will shoot between 1,000 - 2,000 photographs—maybe more if it involves African wildlife and other fast-moving situations. Every laugh, every sparkle of the eye, every bush-plane ride, every meal...will be documented through his lens. He will work tirelessly to make sure you return home with an unbelievable archive of your trip that is a work of fine art photography.

Evan uses several of the latest Canon digital SLR cameras including the 5D Mark III and he primarily shoots with prime lenses which are prized for their fast apertures and crisp images. At the end of each day he downloads the day's shoot onto color-calibrated Apple laptops and backs up all images on two external hard drives.

All images are corrected for color temperature, saturation and contrast as well as dodging-and-burning techniques inside Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CS5. Black and white images are processed using Silver Efex Pro to simulate platinum prints.

Clients may receive their images on small flash drives at no additional charge or printed on archival paper in custom-made leather books made by one of the world's finest photo-album makers based in New Zealand. Please ask for details on pricing.
